Last Friday, September 23, was the 10th annual Life Enrichment Center Teco Art Show, The event is to raise money for the Life Enrichment Center. The art that is sold is painted by senior adults who take classes at the Life Enrichment Center. The Life Enrichment Center is the only private, non-profit community-based center for adults in the Tampa Bay area and one of few of its kind nationwide. It is the only agency providing classes specifically for active adults, from the baby-boom generation and older.
The Center provides more than 40 innovative classes ranging from creative endeavors, such as contemporary dance, art, and digital photography, to academic classes including creating writing, computers, Spanish, and fitness.
I personally have purchased some paintings, my favorite is a Ruth Radice
Mrs. Radice was 92 when I bought her painting. She was so excited when i purchased her painting, that she took my picture next to it. She also told me that she had only been painting for 30 years.
Sure does make me think and wonder, what is something new I can learn to do? Mrs. Radice never painted until she was 62 years old!
Customer of Most Insurance Phil Saraneeyavongse, won a new shawl in the raffle.
Here is a video of a check presentation with Most Insurance and The Life Enrichment Center.
